Itinerary

Day 1 Marrakesh

Start your seven days exploration with a visit to Marrakesh city, where you will enjoy discovering the old Medina of Marrakesh by strolling through its narrow streets and vibrant Souks and markets where Moroccans reveal their handmade products and artisanal artifacts.

After that, you can visit the ancient quarters and get in touch with the local population, discover the lifestyle of the Moroccans and integrate with them, and approach the influence of the ancient dynasties that used to rule over Morocco. By midday, your lunch seat will take place at a local restaurant, in which you will taste the vibrant food of Marrakesh.

After lunch, you can carry on your journey and discover more about Marrakesh and the legacy of the different dynasties that have considered Marrakesh as their capital. You can conclude your discovery of Marrakesh by visiting the square of Jamma Lafna where you will discover the traditional street arts that the Moroccans have demonstrated ages ago.

Day 2 Marrakesh to Taroudant a small version of Marrakesh

Make your departure from Marrakesh in a panoramic ride into Taroudant, in which the driver will take you through different landscapes that witnessed years and years of the Moroccan revolution and prosperity in all the fields.

Taroudant is known as the small Marrakesh due to the similarity between both the cities, in addition to the Saadi Sultan who considered Taroudant the capital of the Saadi dynasty. Dive into the ancient city of Taroudant, and stroll through its quarters and alleys.

While walking around the old city you can purchase some artisanal products that are made by the local population and according to traditional artisanship. Spend your night in a local hotel or a guesthouse within Taroudant and enjoy the serenity of the Berber culture in Taroudant.

Day 3 Taroudant to Tata

Embark on a journey from Taroudant to Tata traversing panoramic landscapes and passing by different cultures along the way. The journey from Taroudant to Tata contains stops at some Berber villages where you can do some shopping and buy traditional artifacts of the region to remind you of the time you spent in Morocco.

You can also stop at Berber villages to take glimpses at the local population of the Anti-Atlas Mountains and their traditional ways of being. On your way to Tata, we recommend having lunch at one of the restaurants that exist beside the way.

Tata is a town in the southeast of Morocco renowned for its pottery and the mixture of the Sahrawi, the Arab, and the Berber cultures. Enjoy the tranquility of Tata and spend your night in a local hotel in Tata.

Day 4 Tata to Mhamid

On this day, you will have to wake up as early as possible to make your departure to Mhamid El-Ghzlan and enjoy the panoramic sun rising over the desert and drawing a panoramic and unique picture with its rays.

Make your way to the Desert of Mhamid where you will have your lunch in a traditional setting, you can experience the local foods of the desert. The second part of the day is dedicated to exploring the desert by camelbacks and experiencing the feeling of the old Touareg that used to inhabit the desert of Mhamid.

You can also ride quad bikes and trek among the sandy dunes, or experience bathing in the warm sands that help people release tiredness, stress, and cure some illnesses. You will spend your night in a bivouac, camping around fire and under the starry sky while listening to local music.

Day 5 Mhamid to Zagora and to Ouarzazate

After having your breakfast and tasting Medfona, you will make your way to Zagora city and from Zagora to Ouarzazate through the Valley of Draa where you will enjoy watching the lush palm trees and the mud brick houses that characterize the region of Draa.

It is worth mentioning that the mud brick houses still play an important role in sheltering the local population of Draa Valley. The journey will continue into Ouarzazate where you will visit the historical Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou, a UNESCO world heritage that has hosted many films like Gladiator, Games of Thrones, Star Wars, and Lawrence of Arabia.

The day ends when the sunset over the Atlas Mountains, the driver will take you into your accommodation where you will spend your night and enjoy the tranquility of the gate leading to the desert.

Day 6 Ouarzazate to Marrakesh

The journey has approached its end and the driver will take into Marrakesh through the Atlas Heights and the Berber Villages that exist beside the way. The way and the Berber villages lead you to TiziN’Tichka, the highest way in Morocco 2,205 meters.

Tichka Pass allows travelers to absorb the grandeur of the mountainous terrain, where you can take adorable pictures with the Atlas heights. Your lunch will take place at a local restaurant beside” the way that links Marrakesh to Ouarzazate. By the afternoon, the group will return to Marrakesh sharing reflections on the diverse landscapes and encounters.

Day 7 free day to explore Marrakesh

Marrakesh full-day exploration is going to be the closing part of your tour in Morocco, so we would like you to discover Marrakesh freely on your way; we recommend you start by visiting the historical monuments of Marrakesh.

Let yourselves dive into the enchanting Bahia Palace and the historical Palace of El-Badi, which represents the ancient infrastructure during the Saadian era. Continue your exploration of Marrakesh and visit the mosque of Koutoubia ,which was built by Abd al-Mu’min ben Ali al-Koumi in 1147 AD on the ruins of the Almoravid Hajar Palace.

After that, you can go on a visit to the tranquil verdant gardens of Marrakesh, and explore the ancient Gardens that date back to centuries of the ancient civilizations that used to inhabit Marrakesh. While you are strolling the old Medina, you can savor your lunch at a local restaurant in the Old Medina of Marrakesh. After lunch, the journey will continue to cover other places like the Old Medina of Marrakesh where you can stroll through its narrow and bustling streets.

Walking around the ancient buildings and quarters of the old Medina offers that glimpse at the history of the Moroccan people.
